PNG transparency

For my fresh.li website i have been using transloadit to offer image uploads. When people uploaded PNG files they used to remain transparent, not at the start but that was fixed at some point, but since a short while transparent PNGs now get a white background. Has your backend changed recently? Was this announced somewhere?

Sorry for the trouble, can you point me to an assembly id where this is happening? I’ll check to see if we did something recently that could have caused this.

This is the template i’m using: https://transloadit.com/templates/view/REDACTED

Hi tijs,

default background is #FFF. Simply specify "background": "none" and everything should be fine.

Kind regards,
Karl Skomski

Thats weird, it used to work fine so i guess this was recently changed then?

Hey Tijs,

we didn’t change this deliberately, but we made some changes regarding flattening of gif files. It might that a bug was introduced here.

We’ll investigate further.

p.s. the change works fine on my site but when i try to use the ‘test’ feature in the control panel i get the following error: "
INTERNAL_TOOL_ERROR: One of our internal tools reported an error. aws tool exit code: 22"

We have made the change a few weeks ago.

Closing this for now. Please feel free to reopen the ticket as you see fit.
