Keep original video size for available preset

How I can setup original video size for “iphone” preset? Set width and height to null doesn’t works.

Thanks

Hey Alex,

You were right about this one and we’re going to have to do some api changes so that you can set:

"width": null

to unset any preset’s width (or height or other property for that matter).

This is going to take a short while so in order to help you on the road quickly we could provide the preset without the width & height if you’re interested, and you could use those properties to do assemblies and achieve the same thing while we’re working on the api improvement.

Or do you have a forgiving timeline on this feature request?

Hi Kevin,

We’re migrating from pandastream to transloadit and will good if you can create the preset without width & height now. I’m needing for mp4 preset for web to play on iOS(flash).

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

Cool! While we are working on the API improvement, you can already start testing by using the options that our iPhone preset currently represents, and just leave out the height & width for now:

{
  "width": 480,
  "height": 320,
  "ffmpeg": {
    "acodec": "libfaac",
    "ab": "128k",
    "ar": "48k",

    "vcodec": "libx264",
    "b": "512k",
    "maxrate": "512k",
    "bufsize": "512k",
    "bt": "1200k",
    "f": "mp4",
    "r": 25,

    "async": "2",
    "coder": "0",
    "g": "30",
    "level": "30",
    "partitions": "+parti4x4+partp8x8+partb8x8",
    "qmax": "51",
    "qmin": "10",
    "rc_eq": "blurCplx^(1-qComp)",
    "trellis": "1",
    "v": "10",

    "vpre": "veryfast",
    "threads": 3
  }
}

We’ll ping you here once our job is done, then you can go back to using the preset and just unsetting it’s width and height by setting them to null.
We recommend changing back so you can automatically enjoy any improvements we make to our presets.

Hi, I just deployed a fix that lets you use null for width and height to keep the original video size when using a template.

Let me know if that works for you!
