Hi,

I setup transloadit on a new project of mine to create thumbnails on an EC2 US-East instance with PHP.

I have been having very slow upload times - about 6 - 25 seconds for marginally small files such as 133 KB. My most recent rate was 5.3 Kbps.

Take a look at assembly\_id REDACTED or REDACTED or any others on that same account. I notice a couple that went through OK, but nevertheless, I think EC2 network transfer rates are about 900 Kbps.

Maybe you are having some system issues or maybe it might go faster if traffic was kept within EC2?

Thanks,
Tom

Sorry about that, my current tests are only on localhost. I’ll let you know if the problem is on EC2 also.

Hi Tom.

Traffic from ec2\<\>ec2 is definitely faster - and cheaper (free). That said, we did have an issue with some uploaders recently so it could have been that affected you.

If that’s the case I’m sorry about the trouble.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Kind regards,
Kevin
